The Waterside Community Forum AGM takes place at the Park Community Centre on Wednesday April 25 at 19.30. All the community is welcome to come along.

Also The "Lets Make It " workshops are starting up again, this time with FREE Driftwood Workshops at The Park Community Centre Chelmsford Street Weymouth, from 10am until 3pm, (drop in sessions - no need to book) on Saturday May 26, and Saturdays June, 9, 16 and 30.

This is available to all who are over 12 years of age.

So come along and help us create wonderful boats!

These driftwood sculptures will be put in the flower beds along the sea front.

They are working on their performance for the Diamond Jubilee Street Party, anyone who would like to join in is welcome to come along, I'm guessing most of the songs are old favourites that you will probably all know.

The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust Charity Shop at 41 Brownlow Street Weymouth has now got a lovely VINTAGE section in the shop. The shop is open Monday to Saturdays from 9am to 17:00. Information and Advice volunteers identify and research information, act on clients’ behalf, and help with letter writing; undertaking diagnosis, and provide information with options and identifying action.

The Park Community Centre has a Facebook presence The Park Community Centre, Weymouth and a Twitter presence, TheParkWeymouth, as well as our very own web site www.theparkarea.co.uk which also has a blog site and a message board for the community projects and groups. They need more people to use these facilities and to subscribe to them, (there isn't a cost for this!) So if you have a free minute whilst you are online, why not have a look.

The next Diamond Jubilee Party Committee meets up on Wednesday April 25 at 10am at the Community Centre if you have come ideas or want to put yourself forward as a helper, entertainer etc etc, then please make yourself known before this next meeting.

The Park Community Centre has now recovered from Easter and most groups and classes have now restarted, there is a whole wealth of keep fit if you need to burn off an over indulgence of chocolate, as well as numerous community groups, friendship groups, luncheon clubs, community choir, art classes, youth clubs, table tennis, short mat bowls and discussions are underway for a whist group as well.
