Park Community Centre Diary Dates
The Next Community Quiz will be held at the Park Community Centre, Chelmsford Street, Weymouth on Saturday July 21 at 7pm. The previous quiz was attended by 45 people and was a jolly affair. Cost is £3.50 per person, which includes light refreshments. The winning team collects a £25.00 prize. If you wish to bring your own drink please feel free, but remember to bring your own glasses as well. Teams of 4 are ideal, but if your solo then come along and make up a team on the night.
There is to be a Coffee Morning in aide of the Macmillan Nurses on Saturday September 29 2012 from 10.30am. Previous Coffee Mornings have had a great variety of home made cakes on offer, so if your sweet tooth finds you yearning for some good home baking, there is no place better to go whilst doing a good deed at the same time.
Time for another Spring Clean Anyone? Just incase your torn between another trip to the tip or putting your unwanted goods out with your every day household rubbish – The Community Centre are organising a number of ways to dispose of your unwanted goods without going too much out of your way The Centre Volunteers will be manning a stand on the Esplanade on Saturday September 15, if anyone has items of bric a brac, books etc that they wish to donate to this stall the Park Area Community Centre will be open to receive all donations Monday to Thursday 10am until 12.00 Noon and Fridays 9.30 until 11.30.
The Centre has previously held very successful "Give & Take" events and another one is now organised for Saturday October 6 from 10.30 am until 1pm. More details to follow nearer the time, but generally good quality items, nothing electrical, If you havent anything to "Give" dont forget you can also "Take" so dont be shy, come along and see if anything takes your fancy.
The Park Community Centre next jumble sale is now being organised for Saturday October 13.
So depending on the quality and type of unwanted product there seems to be a way of recycling everyone’s unwanted possessions.
