Keeping Active at the Park Community Centre, Chelmsford Street Weymouth It may surprise everyone to hear of just how many different ways there are to keep fit or active at the Community Centre
throughout the week.
On Mondays Anna holds her Stretch Relax and Breathe class, which is a course of gentle exercise, this starts at 9.45 and runs for 75 minutes.
Monday evenings sees Pat Lea running her weekly Line Dancing sessions from 7.30 until 8.30, the course is aimed at all skill levels, Pat gave a demonstration of her class at the Diamond Jubilee
Street Party. I saw the photos!
On Tuesdays, Elaine South holds her Energise with Elaine class, which concentrates on Exercise for the Over 50’s. The class starts at 1pm and runs for an hour. The first session is always FREE!
Short Mat Bowls is also available at 10am until 12pm and 7pm until 9pm.
Thursdays between 12 and 2pm is Table Tennis time. There are 3 tables and a ball delivery robot on offer fro training and fun. All equipment is supplied and there is a small charge of £1.50 per
FREE Dance Mats Sessions run on Fridays from 1pm until 3pm, there are crèche facilities available. Generally the first hour tends to be slightly more energetic and the 2nd hour offers a more gentle
routine. But the routines can be changed depending on the general range of ability. If you have problems with hard surfaces they even offer a softer carpet area to dance along to the music on.
