THERE was a wonderful atmosphere despite the unkind weather at St Peter’s Fun dog show and fete. Profits were slightly down on last year but this didn’t stop visitors from enjoying the many stalls, games and catering outlets provided by local community groups.

There were 110 class entries from 26 dogs and best in show went to Izzy who also won the prettiest bitch class.

Grateful thanks to Mick Carpenter and his daughter for judging and stewarding and to everyone else who helped prepare, set up and dismantle the arena and field, especially in the rain!

Beginning Monday, June 20, until further notice, services of Wholeness and Healing will now take place at St Peter’s Portesham on the third Monday of the month at 6.30pm.

St Peter’s will also be celebrating its Patronal service with parish communion at 1030 am on Sunday, June 26 followed by a bring and share lunch in the rectory garden. All welcome.
