JUST to clarify, it will be THE HEARTSTRING QUARTET that will be the next Artsreach presentation at Portesham village hall on Saturday, 25 February and not Morgan and West as printed in last week’s Echo. More details to follow shortly.

VISITORS to St Peter’s church may have noticed that the two dead trees in the churchyard have been felled and that another has lost a branch and may need to be felled. They are going to be replaced as soon as possible with trees that are both good for wildlife and good to look at to continue the Living Churchyard policy of caring for wildlife and keeping the churchyard an attractive area for people.

To raise funds to replace these trees and buy more seeds and bulbs there will be a village café on Saturday, 4 February with all the usual attractions and more! Details of work already carried out and future plans will also be on show.

Please do come along and support the project at the usual time of 10 am to 12 noon.

A REMINDER to contact Des and Jean Baker on 01305 267617 if you are interested in either of their escorted tours to the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas on 28 April or to Portugal on 13 May where profits will be shared between the RBL Poppy Appeal and the local charity Dors-to-India.
