ANNETTE Plaistow-Trapeud accepted a cheque from Reginald Thompson of the Holly Court residents, whose summer tabletop sale had raised the funds.
Annette described the work of D & S Air Ambulance, for which £1,400,000 has to be raised each year, and which is celebrating its tenth birthday.
To mark the occasion, Holly Court residents held a special coffee morning, the cakes were provided by Anchor Housing.
An invitation was made for residents to visit the Air Ambulance.
The next Holly Court fundraising event takes place there on Friday, October 1,10am-2pm.
AS part of the annual “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” on Friday, September 24, members of Weymouth Trefoil Guild are holding a Bring-and-Buy with Coffee in St Aldhelm’s Church Lounge.
This will be from 10.30am until noon.
Funds raised are for Macmillan Cancer Support.
