St John’s to boost African library funds

PUPILS at St John's Primary School have a special link with the Wiru Primary School in Africa.

They are raising money to help fund the development of a library for their overseas friends.

Their jumble sale at school (in Coombe Avenue) is on Wednesday, March 30, 3pm-4.30pm.

Everyone is welcome and donations of good quality items will be appreciated if sent to school from Monday, March 28.

TOM Clarke of RSPB, is holding a new Beginners Birdwatching course on Wednesday mornings from 10am at the Radipole Lake Visitor Centre.

It is running over four consecutive Wednesday mornings and is intended to help people start to work out which bird is which, and where they can be found in Weymouth and Portland.

The course is free.
