The haggis was piped in by Bob Rowley and addressed by Richard Gracie.
Rainbarrow provided lovely music throughout the evening.
A big thank you to Lorraine Tillbrook with Rainbarrow, piper Bob Rowley, Chris Rampton on the bar, Kathy and Betty for the raffle, Bill for shifting tables, and of course Jim and the catering department: Glad, Mary, Christine, Jo and Mike, Jean, Rita, Lizzie, June and Diana.
The evening made close on £1,000 towards the repairs to St Mary’s church
Last but not least, the hall is already booked for next year’s Burns night supper!
Lent lunches will consist of homemade soup, bread, cheese, fruit and a cup of tea or coffee.
Ideas and help will be much appreciated.
There will be a wide variety shown, many of which will have local connections
They will include Is Anybody There, and Sleuth, both starring Michael Caine, and the latter filmed on location at Athelhampton.
Modigliani and Frida are films giving insight into the world of early twentieth-century painters known to Marevna whose work is displayed at Athelhampton.
