Friends Quiz Night

• THE FRIENDS of Conifers Primary School are having a fund raising event of an adults Quiz Night on Friday, June 5 staring at 7.30 and finishing at 10pm.

The cost is £2 per person with a maximum of six people per team, tea or coffee and cake are just 50p.

You can bring a bottle of wine to drink if required.

• THE COMMUNITY garden at Bedford Road has now been completed The Youth Forum who led the project would like to thank Westham Cops, Stag Fencing, Weymouth & Portland Borough Council Community Development, Parks Department, Harbour, Weymouth & Portland Housing, The Youth Opportunity Trust, Weymouth Sailing Club, Chesil Beach Oyster Farm, Value House Lanehouse, St Anne Nursery at Chickerell and the fishermen from Ferry Bridge for all their help with the garden..

They would also like to thank the people that came along and helped with the project which turned out to be a real community effort.

The Weymouth Harbourmaster, Mr mole officially opened the garden and Mr Walker-Banbury donated an engraved cup that will be presented annually to the young person who has made an outstanding achievement to the community.

This year the cup was presented to Charlie Bennett for his dedication to the project.
