Founder member celebrates 90th birthday

• THE Christmas Market held at Lanehouse Methodist church in November was a great success and raised £300 for church funds.

There will be a carol service at the church at 10.30am on Sunday, December 20, and this will be led by Mrs Jean Churchill.

On Sunday, December 27, Gwen Taylor will take the morning service. Gwen is one of Lanehouse Methodist church’s founder members and will celebrate her 90th birthday on Boxing Day.

The service will be followed by coffee and a special celebration cake for Gwen.

All are welcome to these services.

THERE will be just the one carol service at St Edmund’s Church this year.

This will be held in the church in Lanehouse Rocks Road at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve.

There will be a silver collection in aid of The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust at this service.

The Christmas Day service will be held at 11am.
