Is there space for all these certificates?

  • JOHN and Karen Pearce are celebrating the installation of new equipment in their fish and chip shop at Fiveways. It all looks very smart.

They are also celebrating having recently been awarded another two certificates, including 2009/2010 Seafish Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Favourite Frier in which they competed against over 10,000 other shops for the honour.

Soon they will be running out of wall space to display all their awards.

The couple's latest fund raising appeal is for 1p and 2p coins as Barclays Bank has promised to double the amount given in these specific coins towards the coming season’s outings for local pensioners organised by Karen and John.

So John and Karen ask that you bring your small change with you to the shop and help make it possible for this generous pair to continue to treat the residents of Dorset Close, Fairway Court, Fiveways and Marshallsay to coach trips out in the countryside and along the coast this summer.

  • REVEREND Deb Smith, Mel and Jane would like to invite all pre-school tots, their parents and grandparents to their new monthly "Toddler Praise" service to be held on Wednesday, March 3, at 2pm.

Families are also warmly invited to the Family Service at All Saints Church on Sunday, March 7 at 9.30am when Wyke Regis Infant School will be leading the service.
