Posted on 9:14am Wednesday 15th October 2008

The road to Crac De Chevalier is a yellow one on the map. In reality it is a narrow, windy route through a hillside town up to the summit where there is perched one of the biggest and most impressive castles I have ever seen.

Homage to Mr Gaffer

Posted on 9:15am Wednesday 15th October 2008

I would just like to take a moment to pay my sincere respects to the inventor of gaffer tape. Mr Gaffer, you have done us proud and without you, this trip would have been a lot more difficult. Foreign matters

Posted on 9:00am Saturday 11th October 2008

OF all of the things associated with moving to a foreign country, it is probably the most important element that is overlooked. The wheels on the bus go ... flat!

Posted on 10:17am Monday 6th October 2008

The countries start racking up

Posted on 10:16am Monday 6th October 2008

Dawn broke in a rather dismal, half-hearted way as we docked in Calais and Kev was behind the wheel for the first leg on foreign soil. The north of the continent can seem a little dull and featureless, not improved by drizzle and traffic jams.

So, after all of those months of planning, preparation, stress and sheer hard work, here we were on the leaving day.

Sólo ochenta más días de compras a Navidades!

Posted on 8:30am Monday 6th October 2008

Yet another local bank holiday Fiesta looms, this time it's for one of the largest travelling animal circus still in existence. But I know what some will say? Oh, those poor animals, how could you go and see them being treated like that, they wouldn't be able to do that in England!'
