EastEnders favourite, cockney comedian Mike Reid showed off his softer side last week when he presented children with special needs with a new minibus.
Renowned for his soap character Frank Butcher and as a stand-up comedian, Mike Reid met the pupils of the St Nicholas Special School when they were given the Variety Club Sunshine Coach.
The children's charity presented the Purley school with the bus at a Variety Club Golf Society tournament at Kingswood Golf Club in Tadworth last Friday (September 14).
Mike Reid is this year's captain of the golf society who sponsored part of the bus as well as Kenmart.
