MAYBE this photo of a bunch of kite-flying chickens from the Hotel Norfolk in Weymouth will ruffle a few feathers.

It was sent in by Madge Churches who ran the Norfolk with her husband Alan for 12 years. She thinks the photo was taken in the early 1990s and was the hotel’s kite festival kite flying team.

Madge said: “Those were great days – we really enjoyed running the hotel and met some lovely people who came to stay with us. We used to put on picnic lunches for the customers on carnival day and once made them all wartime packed lunches.”

Does anyone have any other kite festival memories – or were you a part of the Norfolk Hotel team?
