Thistle Dew is one of only a handful of detached and individual properties located off Bushey Drive, which is a private road on the outskirts of the village of Clanfield. Constructed approximately twenty two years ago, in a cottage style, this lovely home offers a flexible arrangement of accommodation over two floors. It is for sale with no onward chain.

The property is entered into an unusually large entrance hall with cloakroom. There is a spacious and light sitting room with French doors on to the rear garden and a fireplace fitted with a wood burning stove. Beyond this are the dining room and a double glazed conservatory with doors leading out to the garden. A study lies adjacent to the utility room and there is also a well-fitted family kitchen/breakfast room.

On the first floor is a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes, a guest bedroom with en suite shower room, two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside, the property has driveway parking for at least two vehicles leading to a detached double garage with power and light connected. The gardens encircle the property and are attractively landscaped to include a paved patio, areas of lawn and well-stocked flower and shrub borders. There is a garden shed and greenhouse and the garden is part walled, adding to its character.

AMENITIES Clanfield is a very pretty village with a stream running through the village beside the road, spanned in places by stone bridges. Next to the Radcot road there is a path which runs along beside the stream passing in places under weeping willow trees as it links the two small village greens.

One of the small greens is in the centre of the village at the road junction, where there are also two inns. Nearby is the Norman parish church, St. Stephen's, which dates from about 1200, and the bell tower from the early 14th century. There is a Church of England primary school and a Post Office and general store with coffee shop in the village and a wider range of shops, a doctors' surgery and other amenities nearby in the larger village of Bampton or the market towns of Faringdon and Witney.

About half a mile to the west of the village, at Little Clanfield, there were at one time two water mills on Little Clanfield Brook. One of them, Little Clanfield Mill, is now a private house but its machinery remains operational.
