FOOD lovers are being invited to eat the county.

This year’s Eat Dorset Food Fair will be held on October 18 and 19.

More than 60 local food producers will be showcasing their wares and there will also be a ‘pop-up’ cookery school with Lesley Waters.

And children who like to cook can get expert advice from Lesley at her hands-on sessions on both the Saturday and Sunday mornings and at her afternoon tea family sessions.

Minno Kitchens will also be running sessions across the weekend for under 12s.

There will be tea tasting with Comins Tea House, hanging lamb from Tickled Pig to try and the Hive Beach Cafe champagne and Oyster bar.

Eat Dorset was named one of the finalists of Country Life’s ‘Countryside Event of the Year’.

It has now ‘grown beyond recognition’ and showcases the wares of more than 60 of the county’s producers, including award winning Karen Richards of Capreolus Fine Foods (Rampisham).

This year’s event will be held at Parnham House, Beaminster on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19 from 10am-4pm.

Admission costs £6. Email info@eatdorsetfoodfair.co.uk
