Fruit Cake by Mrs Sylvia Prior

This is a moist rich fruit cake.
1 cup sultanas
1 cup raisins
1 cup currants
1 cup sugar
1 cup peel
1 cup boiling water
1½ teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
Boil all this for ½ hour.
When cold add: 2 eggs, ¼ cup milk, ½ wine glass brandy or sherry, 2 cups s/r flour, 1½ teaspoons baking powder.
Cook in lined cake tin 7"/10" for 1½ hours at 250°F or 150°C.
Allowed to cool, it can be frozen.
