WEST Dorset’s Mark Hix will be leading the quest to find the UK’s best chef, with entries now open for the Wessex Salon Culinaire.
Staged at the Hotel and Catering Show in Bournemouth on March 16 and 17, the competition will include the World Skills UK Cooking, Confectioner/Pastry Chef and Restaurant Services categories.
Ambitious chefs in employment, training or education have until March 9 to enter if they want to take part.
Renowned as the essential showcase for the industry, the Hotel and Catering Show features the latest industry products, services, food and drink, as well as providing delicious tasting opportunities and live demonstrations.
Chefs Brian Turner and Mark Hix will provide a sprinkling of stardust at the event, displaying their talents in a number of demonstrations that will be taking place throughout the event.
