AFTER weeks of discussions, FEAST Weymouth has unveiled this year’s participants for the eight-week long foodie festival coming next month.

Supported by Weymouth BID, the festival is now in its third year and organisers said they are more focused than ever to bring greater variety, better value and more customer satisfaction.

As ever, there is a mixture of eateries taking part and this year the team behind FEAST Weymouth has honed in on independent venues that offer the best menus and importantly, the best food to encourage visitors to Weymouth.

Participating eateries include The Dining Room and The Nothe Tavern.

John McInally, head chef of Shelley’s at The Dining Room said: “We are really excited to be part of FEAST Weymouth this year. Weymouth really needs this sort of event in October and November and we can’t wait to get cracking.”

New for 2016 is the opening event on October 1 – the Pop-Up Kitchen. The pop-up will in the town centre and will be adorned with local chefs demonstrating new dishes and giving the locals a chance to sample specific dishes from their restaurant.

Luciano Da Silva, head chef at The Nothe Tavern said: “FEAST Weymouth is such a great event, and an excellent way for us to showcase our refurbished restaurant.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to let everyone know about our new delicious menu, cosy surroundings and great bar.

“We hope to see many of you over the eight weeks.”

FEAST Weymouth will work with each venue to provide a set-menu for £5 to £25 for customers to dine throughout October and November. Menus will be on the We Are Weymouth website.

Other venues participating include Al Molo, Sophia’s Kitchen, Ayya, The Balti House, Bento Oriental Café & Diner, The Kings Arms - Portesham, Café Oasis, B+B Weymouth, Bennetts Fish & Chips, The Palm House, Delicious Weymouth, The Gloucester, Shelley’s at The Dining Room, Mallams, The Stable, The Dorset Burger Company, No.4, The Rex Restaurant, The Nothe Tavern, The Ship, Rogers Coffee Shop, The Spice Ship, Fish & Fritz, Suttons Café, HIX Academy, Jacks Café and Les Enfants Terrible.
