A PREVIOUS winner of BBC Folk Musician of the Year, Tom McConville has been praised by music lovers, professional musicians and critics alike.

Recognised as having a remarkable and extraordinary sound, this musical virtuoso will be appearing at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis tonight.

Blending traditional music from his hometown of Newcastle with Irish, American and Scottish influences, he creates a sound that has jazz, folk, bluegrass and classical influence.
