MUCH-LOVED musician Gordon Giltrap is calling in at Mr Kyp’s in Poole on Saturday as part of his tour with Oliver Wakeman and a full rock band.
Gordon’s tour, the first since the early 80s, will take in Mr Kyp’s, beginning at 8pm.
Gordon had a massive hit with the track Heartsong in 1978, which for many years was the theme music to BBC’s Holiday programme.
He was a regular fixture on TV in the late 1970s with three appearances on Top of the Pops and five on The Old Grey Whistle Test. Gordon, right, has continued to record and tour as an acoustic musician throughout the intervening years, both solo and in collaboration with other guitarists, but this short tour marks his first appearance with a rock band since the 1980s.
