THE sound of the lute is coming to Dewlish Chapel this weekend.
As part of the chapel’s series of Summer Arts Events, musician and composer Rob Foster will perform his lutes and guitars recital.
The concert begins at 7.30pm tomorrow evening.
Small Strings of Muse and Passion will include a wide diverse range of music.
Rob’s show will take the audience through the ages of lute playing, explained and demonstrated using various styles of lutes, from early music and finally to Gypsy Jazz on the guitar.
The final event at the chapel is on Saturday June 28 when Jan Wyld will be presenting poetry and Bed among the Lentils by Alan Bennett.
Jan will be reading a selection of poetry by Wendy Cope, Roald Dahl, Roger McGough and Thomas Hardy Jan is a well-known local actor, wordsmith and pianist. She performs with Churchill Productions and recently appeared at the Salisbury Fringe.
