PURBECK Folk Festival has a buy-one-get-one-free offer on day tickets until August 15, available for anyone living in the DT postcode area.

Anyone buying a day ticket can get one free for a second day of music on four stages, as well as all the other highlights including great food, fancy dress, kids’ activities, film and art on a huge farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck.

Festival director Michael Callaghan said: “We have had incredible support from local individuals and organisations who have told us they love the Purbeck Folk Festival.

“This is our chance to give something back to local people and show we value the backing of the community.”

The tickets are available now from Dorchester Tourist Information Centre and Weymouth Pavilion box office.

To claim, residents will need to bring a utility bill or similar proof of their address.

This year the headline acts include Eddi Reader, Lloyd Cole, Sally Barker from The Voice, The South, Idlewild Acoustic, Turin Brakes, Nizlopi and Chris Wood.

The four stages are contained in the farm’s covered barns with a marquee venue that hosts open mic sessions.
