A NIGHT of nostalgia is in store at Weymouth Pavilion on January 15.
The Simon and Garfunkel Story is coming to the theatre, featuring West End performer Dean Elliott.
It has been 50 years since Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, the most successful folk/rock duo of all time, recorded their first no1 hit single The Sound of Silence.
The Simon and Garfunkel Story is currently the biggest and most successful touring theatre show celebrating the lives and career of Simon and Garfunkel.
It made an appearance in the West End in February 2015.
Seasoned West End performer Dean Elliott, playing Paul Simon in the show, was the West End lead role of Buddy Holly in Buddy – The Musical at the Duchess Theatre, London for two years.
He was also on the USA, Canada and European tours.
Also featuring a full cast of talented actor/musicians, The Simon and Garfunkel Story takes the audience back through the groovy times of the 1960s.
It tells the story of both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel from their humble beginnings as rock ’n’ roll duo ‘Tom and Jerry’, right through to their massive success, dramatic break-up and finishing with a stunning recreation of the 1981 Central Park reformation concert.
Using a huge projection screen, the show features both original photos and film footage whilst a full live band perform all their hits including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, Sound of Silence and many more.
