CD REVIEW - DIANA KRALL - WALLFLOWER
I'VE been a fan of Krall's smoky velvet-toned voice ever since I realised it's the perfect pairing for a glass of good red wine and a book to lose yourself in.
Wallflower, her CD of covers, doesn't disappoint in the originality stakes.
Her version of Desperado takes me out onto the open highways of Mexico, while Alone Again (Naturally) transports me to the rain-soaked streets of London.
She teams up with fellow Canadian Bryan Adams on Feels Like Home, the only song that could be described as 'a belter' on the album.
Sit back, relax and give Diana Krall a chance. You'll wonder why you didn't earlier.
