ETHEREAL VOCALS and intricate guitars herald the arrival of folk duo Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker in West Dorset.
The duo will be bringing their tour to Bridport Arts Centre on Friday March 20. The gig starts at 8pm and are set to perform their new album in it’s entirely.
The pair have released their new album Nothing Can Bring Back the Hour, which received rave reviews and led to them being nominated for Best Duo and Best Album at the BBC 2 Folk Awards, which will take place in April.
Both musicians are classically trained and bring their epic stories of love and loss to life with souring vocals and complex guitars.
Josienne was born in Sussex and Ben, in Evesham. It was after studying in London, and utterly by chance, that they met in July 2009. They have been working together ever since.
The pair have played as a duo alongside many folk legends including Martin Simpson and Steve Tilston, and are well on their way to becoming one of the hottest tickets in folk music.
