X FACTOR winner Sam Bailey will be stopping off at Weymouth Pavilion on May 5, as part of her spring tour of the UK and joining her will be singer-songwriter Nikki Loy.
Oxford-born Nikki travels the country in a ‘self-built campervan’, and is promoting her third album, Pivotal, which is out in October. Her voice has been described as “soulful and classy.”
Sam performed on the South Coast with the 2013 X Factor tour, but it will be both Sam and Nikki’s first time in Weymouth. Nikki has performed gigs all over the country but confesses that she loves to be by the coast.
She said: “Right now I’m parked up at the beach with the sun streaming in – I love it!”
Nikki snapped up the campervan which she spotted on her way to the studio as a self-build campervan project.
She now ranges the UK pursuing an incredible musical journey with a new view from the window every night. While her songs are shaped by both pain and joy; there is a hopefulness and inspiration pervading these tracks which is said to move and motivate every listener to follow their dreams and take hold of their future happiness.
Nikki's second single Hold Me Now has just been released.
Nikki hails from Oxford and describes herself as 'a true adventurer.' Her voice is said to move people to their very core, carrying such maturity
in her tone that coupled with depth and emotion of her lyrics, is said to inspire fans to follow her example and pursue their own dreams.
She brings a wealth of musical experience that includes busking, festivals, Hillsong music college in Australia, writing a column for The Oxford Times and writing 52 songs in 52 weeks.
She has also co-written for a well know Saatchi & Saatchi ad campaign - and the award winning video for her single Can I Keep You was chosen by the BBC to be part of their Music Video Festival, screened on big screens across the UK, also reaching the final of the UK Songwriting Contest.
Prior to supporting Sam Bailey, Nikki has supported artists including Janette Mason and Lauren Pritchard. She will also be supporting Westlife’s Shane Filan on his October tour.
Later this year, in November, Nikki will be carrying out her own UK tour.
Tickets are available for Sam Bailey’s Sing My Heart Out tour at Weymouth Pavilion on Friday May 5, at 7:30pm. Tickets can purchased from the box office.
