THE Occasional Singers are performing an Advent Concert at St Mary’s Church, Dorchester, on Sunday, December 7 from 3pm.
It will feature a variety of music including Bach, Mendelssohn and Britten.
The Occasional Singers will crown the year in a programme of Advent music old and new – from plainsong and renaissance motets to Mendelssohn and Benjamin Britten with two English rarities in which they will be joined by organist Neil Sissons.
Admission is free but a retiring collection will be made in aid of Medecins Sans Frontieres.
The concert starts at 3pm and is directed by Richard Hall and David Bruce-Payne.
