GOOD time music rooted in 1930s, 40s and 50s America is coming to Dorset village halls over the next few days. Slim Panatella will be performing at Wootton Fitzpaine Village Hall tonight at 7.30pm, Frampton Village Hall tomorrow at 7.30pm, Portesham Village Hall on Saturday at 7.30pm and Langton Matravers Village Hall on Sunday at 7.30pm.
Simon Mayor has an unequalled reputation in folk, bluegrass and classical circuits alike, and is recognised as one of the world’s leading mandolin virtuosos.
Hilary James’ voice has featured everywhere from the BBC’s ‘Folk on 2’ to Radio 1 and Classic FM. She also plays the double bass, and is a mean guitar picker!
As a duo, Simon and Hilary have enjoyed several sell-out tours with Artsreach. Now they are joined by guitarist and mandolinist Andy Baum, and one of the UK’s top banjo players, John Breese, completes the lineup as a special guest.
