LymeRegisTV and Woodmead Halls presents Woodfest: Three Days of Music from Woodmead Halls, Hill Road, Lyme Regis from Friday until Sunday with proceeds to the RNLI.

The weekend features the best in local music, with an international flavour.

Afternoon events are free (by donation) and one single £5 ticket buys admission to both main shows.

The event will be opened by the mayor of Lyme Regis, Sally Holman, and town crier Phil Street will make the first big noise of the day.

Food will be available from the kitchen, and the bar will be open from 2pm until 2am on both days.

There will be a Battle of the Bands competition devised mostly for younger musicians.

Judges include Olli Dixon (Papa Le Gal), Billy Matthews (musician and performer) Rob Michael (RNLI) Andy Cable (Axe Music Axminster) and Adam Sweet (musician).

Applications are invited from soloists, duets and full bands. The only rule is no CD accompaniments, your performance has to be live.

No auditions, it’s the first seven acts to get in contact. The £500 prize money (kindly donated by Lyme Bay Holidays) will be split between the top three, all participating acts receive £20 expenses.

Admission is free (by donation).

Music headliners include Papa Le Gal, Mosquito-B and Billy Matthews. Song of the Sea is an ‘open mic’ session with invited guests. The theme is sea songs. The winner of lifeboat poem competition will also be announced. The event will be filmed by LymeRegisTV.
