THE Encore singers are joining forces with tuba players Matthew Blunt and Henry Lindsay for a concert at St Edmund’s Church in Weymouth.
Encore will be performing songs from the shows and a variety of popular songs from different genres.
Matthew, who was previously a member of St Edmund’s Church, and Henry won scholarships to study tuba at the Royal Academy of Music. They are both former National Youth Orchestra principals and Henry was a brass finalist at the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. Matthew recently performed the Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto with the Dorset Sinfonia.
The concert is in the church on Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth on November 26 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 to include a glass of wine or soft drink, available on 01305 785811 or 01305 750836.
