Emma Stone and Steve Carell had better be working on their serve.

The pair have signed up to play tennis stars Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in new movie Battle Of The Sexes.

The film, directed by Little Miss Sunshine duo Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, will tell the story of the epic match between the two aces in 1973. King was the number two ranked female tennis player aged 29, when she was challenged and defeated by retired former Wimbledon champion Riggs, who was 55 at the time.

Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti will play the pair in an original movie for HBO, while Will Ferrell is attached to play Riggs in Match Maker.
