Samuel L Jackson is reportedly in talks to star alongside Angela Bassett and Jennifer Hudson in new movie Black Nativity.
According to Variety, the veteran actor is considering playing Reverend Clarence Cobbs in the movie, which follows a black teenager sent to stay with grandparents he's never met in mid-century Harlem.
Angela and Jennifer are also in talks to take on the roles of the Reverend's wife Aretha, and his estranged daughter.
Black Nativity, a retelling of the Nativity story, is being adapted by Kasi Lemmons from a 1961 gospel musical written by Langston Hughes.
