The 54-year-old actress, who has received Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her performance as a linguistics professor struck with early onset Alzheimer’s, said Lionsgate and producer Jon Kilik were flexible with her Mockingjay schedule so she could shoot the drama, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“I wouldn’t have done Still Alice if it weren’t for their generosity. They owned me for the year,” she said.

“I went to our producer Jon Kilik, and he said, ‘Absolutely.’ It was incredible. They boarded me in and out. That doesn’t happen often.”
