Not only is it a great summer style, it works for all types of hair and tucks away those unruly strands.

Remington‘s session stylist Chris Appleton explain how you can style your hair into a fabulous topknot in five simple steps.

Step 1: Blow dry your hair in the direction of the ponytail.

Step 2: Tighten your ponytail and secure with a hair band or a bungee elastic.

Step 3: Begin rolling the loose hair from the ponytail into the silk rollers and leave them for five to 10 minutes. This will help give the hair some lift and texture. Depending on the thickness of your hair, you will need between five to eight rollers.

Step 4: Take each roller out and tease the sections to give your hair a texture. Then twist the hair into a clockwise direction and secure with pins.

Step 5: Use your fingers to get in between the ponytail and soften up any loose hair to give it a really relaxed finish.
