Holidays in Tenerife will take you to a cluster of islands off the North West coast of Africa known as the Canaries. Blessed with a glorious sub tropical climate that tops 30 degrees in the summer months and around 19 degrees in the winter Tenerife is a perfect year round holiday destination. People return to this glistening gem year after year partly due to its fantastic climate but mainly because the island has so much to offer all types of holidaymaker whatever their age may be. With spectacular landscapes dotted with banana plantations and palm trees, traditional whitewashed villages and impressive colonial buildings this is an island that you take to your heart after your very first visit. Many of the beaches are made up of dark volcanic sand which seems to make the calm turquoise waters sparkle even more. Should you really crave golden sands, they too can be found sprinkled around the coastline and are just as beautiful as the others. There are shopping outlets to suit all budgets in Tenerife, ranging from small stores showcasing locally made handicrafts and souvenirs to large department stores brimming with designer labels. The resorts of Santa Cruz and Los Christianos are the place for hardened shoppers to splash their cash with the best shopping facilities on the island.

Another great day for the whole family to enjoy is the Loro Parque which is Europe's largest Dolphinarium and hosts a variety of daily shows from sea lions and dolphins and also showcases over 700 parrots as well as a host of other exotic animals.
The cosmopolitan resort of Playa De Las Americas is the place to head for the jumping nightclubs and party atmosphere.
