AS slick and well oiled as a dancing machine, Thriller Live thrilled the sell-out audience at the Pavilion on Saturday night.

Playing the last of three shows at the Bournemouth venue, the cast of this top West End show proved why it has been such a success.

All the top hits were here as singers and dancers charted Michael Jackson's rise with the Jackson Five, through to the Thriller and Bad years and beyond.

Five singers - one, a female – took on the role of the King of Pop.

And they were backed by energetic dancers displaying some excellent choreography.

The band also deserve credit for a high powered, polished performance.

It was a feast for the eyes as well as the ears as the colourful costumes, sparkling set and superb lighting and effects mesmerised the delighted crowd over two hours.

The trademark outfits and dance moves, including the moonwalk, were carried off with aplomb by the highly skilled performers.

For the top tunes, it was audience participation time to Shake Your Body, while the encores of Bad and Black and White had everybody on their feet.

Highlights included the explosive They Don't Care About Us, the evocative Man In The Mirror and the loud and proud Beat It.

However, everyone had come for Billie Jean and Thriller and the cast didn't disappoint, with both songs being foot and note perfect.
