EVER had trouble deciding which West End or Broadway show to go to?

I’ve got a better idea.

Skip the travelling, major expense and agonising decisions and spend an evening enjoying more than a dozen musicals in one at Broadway Showtunes in Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre.

This dazzling show has something for everyone with sets from Wicked, 42nd Street, Hairspray and Fiddler on the Roof to name but a few.

It showcases the breath-taking talent of Big Little Theatre School students but there’s nothing amateur about this production.

These young people receive the best coaching money can buy all year round which becomes abundantly clear when you watch their vibrant dance routines and high-quality acting and listen to their flawless voices.

It’s easier to imagine you are in a West End Theatre than it is to believe the amazing performers in front of you are local school children.

Stunning sets, imaginative costumes and a full orchestra featuring musicians from many London shows are just some of the highlights with all age groups excelling themselves.

If I was pressed to pick a favourite moment, the spectacular Lion King finale featuring all 134 performers was jaw-dropping and prompted a richly-deserved standing ovation from the delighted first-night audience.

The annual Big Little showcase is always a delightful start to the summer holidays in Bournemouth.

It runs until Saturday and you’d be mad to miss it.
