THE world’s top WWE stars provided an up-close and personal show when they appeared at the BIC last night.

Taking place in a floodlit match ring surrounded by a packed-out crowd, heavyweight wrestlers each took their turn to face an opponent after the ring of a bell, the second time to this venue within six months.

It was my first ever experience of seeing WWE, either on TV or in the flesh, and it was fair to say that I was pleasantly surprised. While, yes, the drama is high and some moves are way over-the-top in terms of their reaction, the show is entertainment rather than a sport and it was easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all.

Everybody was there to see their favourite WWE stars and there was no shortage of big names including Ryback and Kane who took part in the first battle in amongst the boos and cheers from the crowd.

Brothers, Goldust and Stardust and Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper all worked hard to win their match.

Personal favourites for me were the Prime Time Players and Lucha Dragons, who each came out to massive whoops and went out of their way to put on a good show for their baying fans, who joined in with the personal chants of each tag-team member.

But it was WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton, who stole the show, keeping everybody on the edge of their seats each time the count to three started as one person was floored.

The event was full of families looking for fun and entertainment during the Easter holidays and it was great to see the children run up to high-five and take pictures of their favourite stars.
