CD REVIEW - JACK SAVORETTI - WRITTEN IN SCARS
I think it's safe to say that I've become a Jack Savoretti fan.
This album has a solid, old-school sound reminiscent of campervan journeys across Europe.
Stand-out track for me is Home, the perfect accompaniment for all the young and young-at-heart free spirits who are travelling around the world.
The Other Side of Love has a piano refrain coursing through it and a near 1980s vibe that makes it another of my favourites.
With some of the songs a little too 'strumming round the camp fire' sounding for me, Savoretti's more up tempo numbers more than compensate for an album that is perfect for those with wanderlust in their hearts.
