LET’S HANG ON

Weymouth Pavilion

OH what a night - eight men paying tribute to one of the most celebrated pop groups of the age, no wonder they brought down the house with this stunning show.

Replicating with integrity the iconic style of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is no easy task but this group did so with an uncanny skill that transformed them back to the 1950s and the early days of the boys from New Jersey.

Brilliant arrangements brought back with great accuracy their top hits of the day like Beggin’ You, You’re Just too Good to be True and Walk Like A Man with lead singer Dino Buttarazzi in perfect form as Frankie Valli complete with a stunning falsetto voice and a likeable personality to match.

Three horn players added to the four piece musical line-up to give the backing group a big band sound that put a sparkle in hits like Sherry and Who Loves You.

This non-stop production just kept turning out a dazzling variety of songs in a show that gave the audience a taste of just how important the Four Seasons were – and still are - to the pop music scene as the works of song writer Bob Gordio brought everyone to their feet in a display of enthusiastic appreciation of his very special gifts.

A nice touch in the production was the group’s tribute to Valli’s own favourite singers, the Everly Brothers as they gave an emotional rendition of Let It Be Me in a show that returns to Weymouth next year.
