BLUES NIGHT

BLUES NIGHT: BAD INFLUENCE
A tremendous performance from this powerhouse quartet. Fronted by Val Cowell who plays rhythm guitar and possesses a very strong voice, they played a good selection of their own material and some well-chosen classics.
Richard Hayes on lead/slide guitar pulled out some blistering solos but equally could deliver some very subtle slide moments. A very tight rhythm section of Pete Stroud on bass and Sam Kelly on drums kept it anchored, all getting a chance to strut their stuff.
I thought they were at their full throttle best when they played On The Road To Nowhere. They were given a great reception from a very appreciative crowd.
24 Pesos are the next band to play the monthly Blues Night slot at Bridport Electric Palace on Friday 4 December.
