WRITTEN and directed by Helen Barrington, the Christmas Spectacular delivered an enchanting slapstick Christmas treat for the whole family to enjoy. On arrival we were greeted by some of the glamorous Glad Rag Company cast.
The show opened with an introduction to Santa, (Bryan Newman) in his magical toy workshop. The stunning sparkling costumes (by Sue Simmerling), dazzled the audience which enhanced the festive fun of the show.
Set in the North Pole, with a vintage feel, be prepared to be entertained by the delightful Santa's lovely helpers, Bear/Reindeer Handlers and Santa's Elves.
The performance went onto demonstrate some fantastic vocals and choreography including Christmas Town and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Audience participation was filled with laughter, and of course Benji and Bruce, the polar bears were keeping an eye on everyone including Rudolph, who we hear is a very talented dancer. Running right up to Christmas Eve, this Christmas Cracker of a show is guaranteed to fill you with the spirit of Christmas, so don't delay book now.
Then get ready for the big New Year pantomime, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, with the irrepressible Highcliffe Charity Players at the Regent Centre from January 16 - 23.
