Opening to an excited and packed audience, the award winning Highcliffe Charity Players promised to dazzle and entertain with their well loved family pantomime Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Set amongst the circus and with villains, pretty maidens, dancing animals, gypsies and heroism, Goldilocks and the Three Bears has been re-imagined and reinvented in this new laugh a minute production.

Delighting both children and adults alike there were high jinks aplenty as Goldilocks must find a way to save her family’s circus animals from the villainous evil Baron Von Trappem and his bumbling assistants Dunn and Dusted.

With the help of a wonderful and fantastic group of characters, including Goldilocks mother and hilarious pantomime Dame, Ma Barnaby, her brother Barney, Antonio the Romany Prince, Mayor Zeedotes, his daughter Penelope and of course the three bears, the cast dance their way through the madness and mayhem to save the day.

The first performance went down a storm with the engaged audience, with plenty of giggles and typical pantomime farce ‘He’s behind you’ along with energetic show songs, a wonderful changing set and a ‘surprise’ at the end of the show – this pantomime proved to be one not to be missed.

The Highcliffe Charity Players Chairman Georgina Smith describes the pantomime as ‘a script full of fun at the circus, the obligatory porridge scene and some great characters’.

Goldilocks and The Three Bears is indeed riotous fun for all the family – a real treat!

The show runs from Saturday 16th January to Saturday 23rd January.
