With one studio album Communion behind them Years and Years have enjoyed a fair amount of success in a relatively short space of time.

Formed in 2010 they hit the big time in 2015 with the release of the album and No 1 single King and have forged a reputation as an exciting live act that are not to be missed.

Bournemouth Echo:

The two support acts MO and Mabel warmed the crowd up nicely before Years and Years hit the stage to a thunderous welcome from the sold out BIC crowd.

Opening with Foundation, Take Shelter and Worship the night started at breakneck speed and just kept on getting better and better.

This is a show that would put most Ibiza club nights to shame.

Bournemouth Echo:

The lights, the lasers, the smoke and most of all the driving beats of the songs motored the set along to the delight of the crowd.

Every track was greeted with a roar with the band and the young crowd feeding off each other to keep the energy at a constant peak throughout the set.

Mikey Goldsworth and Emre Turkmen stay behind their keyboards for the majority of the evening providing the backbone of the bands sound allowing front man Olly Alexander the freedom to bound around the stage.

He is a natural performer who mixes the enthusiasm, dance moves and vocals of the young man he is with the stage craft of a veteran many years his senior.

Bournemouth Echo:

He must have covered every inch of the stage three or four times over.

Ending the main set with Real and Desire they soon bounded back to deliver a two-song encore of The Boy Is Mine and favorite King.

A great night's entertainment by a band that certainly know how to put on a show.

Their reputation is well deserved and anyone who was at the BIC will be looking out for the next time Years and Years hit the road.
