FAB-U-LOUS! Big Little have done it again.

Coming up with a show of this calibre and variety every year would be no mean feat in the professional world of musical theatre.

But it's almost impossible to believe this stupendous showcase is performed by youth theatre students, most of whom have been at school all day.

From the outset it's clear they mean business with a powerful opening featuring hit songs from Evita and a stunning performance from Taylor Cane-Richardson in the lead role.

From that moment the audience was captivated as the young cast brought breathtaking energy and enthusiasm to sets featuring musicals for all tastes.

They clearly loved performing the upbeat and fun Hercules and Mamma Mia certainly did its job as the crowd pleaser - who doesn't love a bit of Abba?

The Witches of Eastwick was a brilliant start to the second half and the toe-tapping hits continued to draw cheers from the audience.

But they fell silent during the mesmerising and moving The Station Master, performed by students from the school's Professional Development Programme, proof it it were needed why this school sees so many of its students head to the West End stage.

Powerful voices, beautifully choreographed dance routines and impressive acting skills combine to make them a real "triple threat" in the industry.

The Mack & Mabel finale was truly breath-taking and proved you don't get anywhere without taking a few risks - 150 young people tap dancing at the same time - not easy.

So far this summer's been a bit dreary but, as usual, the sun's shining on the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth this week. Get yourself a ticket and Tap Your Troubles Away.

Broadway Showtunes runs until Saturday night.
