Fireball - Fuelling The Fire battered its way into Bournemouth for the last gig of the tour on Tuesday night and what a great night it was.

Labelled as a punk event it was much more than that with Punk band Less Than Jake headlining and reggae influenced The Skints as main support this was an excellent mixture of both genres.

It may seem like a strange mix but the two have always been closely linked with The Clash in particular wearing that influence for all to see.

Unfortunately I arrived late so missed local band Black Water County, the Bennies and Mariachi El Bronx and judging by the disheveled sweat soaked state of the crowd I missed quite a show.

The Skints were up next and were probably my favorite band of the evening.

Starting with Rub A Dub, Ghost Town and Tazer it was immediately obvious why they are finally reaching the larger audience they deserve.

The stage was pretty dark so the visuals were not great but the reggae infused sounds more than compensated for that.

The set ended on a particular high note with Eyes, Forest and Culture Vulture.

During a quick break while the stage set up changed I took the opportunity to visit the merch stand and buy the vinyl of Live, Breath, Build, Believe to add to my collection.

Less Than Jake followed and launched straight into their own brand of punk infused, crowd-pleasing mayhem.

Great tunes, witty chat, and the most enthusiastic crowd I have seen at the O2 for a while made for the perfect end to a brilliant night of music.
