IF you’re not feeling festive just yet – get yourself down to the Christmas Spectacular at the Regent Centre in Christchurch.

This year’s show marks the fifth year of joint production between the theatre and the Glad Rag Production Company, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Once again set in the North Pole, the Christmas Spectacular tells the tale of how Santa and his team are preparing for the big day, with Sprout the Elf travelling the world to bring a new Christmas production to all his new found friends via Santa Vision.

Cue lots of themed song and dance numbers from around the world – all with THE most spectacular costumes, boasting more sequins than Strictly.

There are plenty of festive ditties too, including old favourites and some lesser known tunes, all held together by the charming little tales of the folks in Santa’s Village.

A truly professional production, with top quality singing, dancing, acting and comedy performances from all involved, including the children.

With some panto-esque shouting out for the kiddies and bit of innuendo and adult humour for the grown-ups, there really is something for everyone.

Santa may be worried there isn’t enough Christmas magic left in the world but, as the show draws to a close with a sing-a-long to probably the most classic song of all, we’re all left in little doubt.

This is everything you want from a Christmas show – and more.
