THIS was the first of three gigs in three days for me and what a great start to the weekend this show was. Amber Run were at the Old Fire Station as part of their nationwide tour and they did us all a huge favour by bringing the wonderful duo Seafret with them.

The aforementioned Seafret were up first and delivered a great set of songs to an appreciative crowd before Amber Run took to the stage to a chorus of cheers.

Squeezed onto the small stage they opened with Pilot followed by Spark from 5 AM and Insomniac from For a Moment I Was Lost and continued with a mix of songs spanning their still relatively short career.

The crowd obviously knew the bands material inside out greeting every introduction with a cheer and taking every opportunity to sing along.

The main set was relatively short, lasting just over the hour, but was filled with some of the wonderful melodic songs that has seen then attract the vocal crowds like the one that filled the venue in Bournemouth.

The short but sweet three-song encore included the beautifully delivered I Found that held the crowd spellbound and received the biggest reaction of the night.

Ending on an upbeat note with No Answers they were gone all too soon but left behind a crowd who will no doubt spread the word that will see this band continue to gain in popularity and go on to bigger and better things.
