The Decadettes
THE Friends of Weymouth Pavilion Complex are presenting A Night at the Ritz on June 1 in the Ocean Room to remember an important anniversary.
The idea for the event came about because 2014 is the 60th anniversary of the Ritz theatre fire. The Pavilion was built in its place following the massive blaze in 1954.
A tea dance, taking place between 4pm and 6.30pm, will be followed by a cabaret from 8pm to 9.30pm and both events will raise money for the Pavilion.
To complete the trip down memory lane there will be a theatre memorabilia display and there will also be a raffle.
Singing group The Decadettes will feature in the cabaret, alongside Cathy and Silvia and the Weymouth School of Ballet.
